The Drug Department team arrived at Usha Medical Store in Khair Nagar. Led by the Drugs Inspector, the team collected crucial information after questioning the store operator. The anesthesia injection used in the murder was bought from this very shop.

According to the information, Muskaan visited Usha Medical Store on March 1. She claimed to need medication for her elderly father. Analyzing the purchases made by Muskaan, it appears that two of these drugs can be bought without a prescription. Cleverly, she acquired the injection amidst these common medications and used it in her husband's murder. The Drugs Inspector highlighted that if it’s found drugs were given without a prescription, the store could lose its license. Nevertheless, the store operator claimed that it was Muskaan's first visit to purchase medicine, and she hadn’t been seen before.

Meanwhile, the Uttar Pradesh police are contemplating taking the Saurabh Rajput murder case to a fast-track court. Senior Police Superintendent Vipin Tada emphasized prioritizing quick filing of charge sheets. "We aim to prosecute the case speedily in a fast-track court to ensure swift justice for the accused," he stated, adding that they plan to take Muskaan and Sahil into custody after their 14-day judicial remand.

The postmortem of Saurabh Rajput revealed his head was severed. His hands were cut at the wrists, while his legs were bent backward, suggesting an attempt to fit the body into a drum. Shock and massive blood loss were determined to be the cause of death. After the murder, Muskaan Rastogi and her lover, Sahil Shukla, went to Kasol in Himachal Pradesh on March 10, posing as a married couple to stay at a hotel. The hotel operator said they left on March 16.

The body was dismembered into four parts to fit into a drum." The medical team described the grisly attempt to conceal the body in detail.
