Saurabh Rajput's murder case in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, continues to unveil new layers of mystery every day. Recently disclosed CCTV footage captures the final moments of Saurabh Rajput alive, dated March 3 at 11:49 PM. It shows Saurabh riding a bike towards home with a friend, reportedly after picking up food for his family. Following this meal, Saurabh lost consciousness.
Subsequently, his wife Muskan, collaborating with her lover Sahil Shukla, brutally murdered him. The CCTV footage identifies the second person on the bike as Saurabh's friend, whose identity remains unknown. Police are investigating his involvement. Additionally, footage from other CCTV cameras in the vicinity is being examined to gather more evidence and identify all parties involved in this heinous crime.

Currently, Muskan Rastogi and her lover Sahil Shukla are confined in Chowdhary Charan Singh District Jail in Meerut. Reports state their condition is deteriorating, with continuous demands made for drugs and alcohol. They have refused to eat in the absence of marijuana and morphine injections, symptoms indicating severe addiction issues.
Jail authorities insist that both want to reside in the same cell, which was denied due to regulations. Muskan has requested a public defender, knowing her family will not assist her. According to jail sources, "Muskan and Sahil are restless, struggling with sleep, and persistent in their calls for drugs."
Veeresh Raj Sharma, Senior Jail Superintendent, explained, "Both Sahil and Muskan have a long history of substance abuse, contributing to their restless behavior and insomnia." Medical teams monitor their symptoms and have prescribed medication to manage their withdrawal symptoms. Despite numerous investigations, no visitors have come forward for them since their incarceration.

Notably, after committing Saurabh's murder and sealing his dismembered body in a blue drum with cement, Muskan Rastogi (27) and Sahil Shukla (25) traveled to Kasol on March 10. They spent six days there, checking out on March 16, and returned to Meerut on March 17. Muskan also celebrated Sahil's birthday on March 11. A police team from Meerut has visited Manali and Kasol in Himachal Pradesh as part of the ongoing investigation.
A postmortem report on Saurabh Rajput's body discloses the extreme brutality of Muskan and Sahil. The report reveals Saurabh’s head was severed from his torso, wrists detached, and legs bent backward. Attempts were made to fit the body into a drum without dismemberment, leading to significant blood loss and shock as the cause of death. Doctors reported three severe heart stabbings with a pointed weapon.
As one doctor noted, "The deep stab wounds, inflicted with a sharp, long knife, penetrated Saurabh's heart." Assistant Police Commissioner Ayush Vikram Singh confirmed, "Muskan viciously pierced Saurabh's heart, causing a rupture, and severed his neck and both palms. The body was quartered to fit into the drum." A member of the postmortem team remarked, "The body, sealed in cement, had no opportunity to decompose due to lack of air."
