According to sources, Saurabh married Muskan out of love in 2016, despite family opposition. They began living in a rented house separately. In 2019, Sahil entered Muskan's life while Saurabh was occupied with his work abroad. Once college friends, Muskan and Sahil's relationship rekindled over time.
Husband's Return from London: Prelude to Murder
Saurabh became aware of Muskan and Sahil's affair, while overseas, their relationship grew stronger. Sahil pressured Muskan to eliminate Saurabh for their future together. However, with Saurabh unwilling to divorce, they conspired to murder him.

On February 26, Saurabh returned to Meerut. On the night of March 4, Muskan drugged his meal. Once unconscious, Sahil was summoned, mercilessly stabbing Saurabh, leading to his immediate death. They dismembered the body into three parts, sealed in a drum with a cement mix to conceal it. Post-crime, the couple took a trip to Himachal.
Muskan's Masterful Deception
Even before committing the crime, Muskan had begun crafting lies for her family and neighbors, pretending she was off on a trip with her husband. Using this as a cover, she executed the act in secrecy, later fleeing to Himachal with Sahil, leaving everyone believing the couple was away.
Muskan cleverly carried Saurabh's phone, sending texts to relatives from Himachal, maintaining the illusion that Saurabh was alive. Meanwhile, preparatory tasks like procuring the drum and cement were completed to hide any evidence of his demise effectively. Parents Reveal the Whole Story
In a conversation with 'Aaj Tak', Muskan's parents, Pramod and Kavita, expressed no mercy for their daughter, asserting she deserves capital punishment. Kavita shared that Saurabh left their 6-year-old granddaughter with them on March 1. As per the plan, on March 4 night, Muskan drugged Saurabh's meal, rendering him unconscious before stabbing him and packing his body in a drum.
Muskan's parents noticed something amiss when Saurabh was unreachable post-March 1, with Muskan always making excuses. On March 17, Muskan called to inform them of a fight, promising to disclose everything on her arrival. Arriving soon after, Muskan, in tears, falsely accused Saurabh's family of harming him. However, her father grew suspicious and insisted on visiting the station, where she confessed the truth en route.
Muskan admitted to committing murder under Sahil's influence, asserting Sahil believed Saurabh needed to be removed. Currently, both Muskan and Sahil are in custody awaiting trial.
