A troubling incident emerged from Madhya Pradesh's Rajgarh district where a father of four intimidated and exploited a young woman sexually over a span of seven years. The victim faced repeated assaults, conversion pressures, and death threats, ultimately leading her to file an FIR against the accused at a police station in Indore. An MA graduate in English Literature, the victim is currently a teacher at a private school.
In her police complaint, the victim recounted her 2016-17 living situation with parents and brothers in Chhapiheda, Rajgarh district. Her family ran a hardware store where Jibrail Mansoori worked nearby, leading to frequent interactions. During the time her father's health deteriorated, Jibrail offered his help, declaring her like a sister and promising aid whenever needed. Gradually, Jibrail's visits to their home increased.
In 2018, while visiting a school in Biaora to withdraw her PF, Jibrail made contact and guided her to a hotel near Karnawas village under the pretext of safety. According to the victim, "Calling me his sister, I trusted him. Assuming visibility at eateries would invite gossip, he directed us to a hotel room where he forced himself upon me and recorded it."
Post this assault, as per the FIR, Jibrail used this footage to blackmail her. He pressured for conversion and threatened, "I will keep you as my mistress and ensure you never marry."
Further, the victim disclosed the passing of her father in 2020. Following this, her mother and brothers relocated to Indore in 2021 for livelihood, while she continued teaching in Chhapiheda. Jibrail's harassment persisted, compelling her move to Indore in March 2025 with her family, but the intimidation remained unyielding.
On April 18, Jibrail stormed her residence in Nandan Nagar, Indore, hurling obscenities and threatening harm if she didn't meet him near Bombay Hospital. Under duress, she complied, and Jibrail, intimidating her further, took her to Classic Inn hotel.
Defying her resistance, Jibrail threatened, "Refuse, and I will harm your family," assaulting her once again in the hotel room.
Alongside kin, the victim approached Indore police, lodging a complaint against Jibrail. The police have registered the case and initiated investigation proceedings.
