A dramatic story has emerged from Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. A woman's strong aversion to her husband's beard led her to insist it be shaved off. However, when the husband, valuing his religious beliefs, refused, she left with his clean-shaven brother-in-law. The husband has now lodged a police complaint, alleging his wife is demanding ₹5 lakh.
The Full Story
The incident unfolded in the Ujjwal Garden Colony of the Lisarri Gate police area in Meerut. Maulana Shakir wedded Arshi, a resident of Inchauli, about seven months ago. Post-marriage, Arshi took an instant disliking to Shakir's beard, urging him to shave it if they were to remain together. Shakir, unwavering in his religious dedication, declined, sparking numerous spats between the couple. Shakir even discussed the issue with her family, but no resolution was found. Over time, Shakir discovered her growing closeness with his brother. Then, about three months ago on February 3rd, Arshi packed her belongings and left with her brother-in-law. Shakir reported the matter at the police station and filed a missing persons report for his wife and brother. Attempts to inform Arshi's family met with a dismissal, stating they sever any ties with her.
