In Tikamgarh, Madhya Pradesh, the unruly behavior of Abdul Gaffar 'Pappu Malik's son, a Congress leader and town mayor, made headlines as he attacked a duty-bound police constable in broad daylight. The incident unfolded at the Mau Chungi checkpoint in the Kotwali police station area.

Abdul Gaffar's son Adil Khan's truck was entering the city despite a no-entry sign when Constable Rajkumar from the police station intervened to stop it. Chaos ensued when the truck driver called for Adil, who arrived and began arguing with Constable Rajkumar before assaulting him together with the driver, further disrupting the city's traffic.

Following the assault, Constable Rajkumar filed a complaint, leading the Kotwali police to charge Adil Khan under various sections. The authorities have initiated a thorough investigation.

The police reported that Abdul Gaffar and his son Adil are involved in a crusher and transportation business, which often leads to traffic congestion as they attempt to force large vehicles into the city.

Anand Raj, the Kotwali Station Officer, has confirmed that charges including obstruction of government work and assault on a police officer have been filed against the mayor's son, with further investigations pending.
