The number of devotees attending the ongoing Mahakumbh in Prayagraj continues to climb. With heightened weekend activity and the forthcoming Mahashivratri bath on February 26, the administration is on high alert. Comprehensive measures have been implemented to streamline city traffic, ensuring devotees encounter no discomfort.

Due to the heavy influx of pilgrims, vehicle movement within the fairgrounds has been regulated. The administration has arranged for vehicles to be stationed at temporary parking locations, easing traffic pressure on the main bathing ghats. Pilgrims utilize shuttle buses, e-rickshaws, or walk to reach the Sangam for their holy bath.

In particular, thousands of vehicles are parked at Nehru Parking. From there, devotees leverage various transportation modes to reach the Triveni Sangam. Drone images vividly showcase that traffic is operating seamlessly, avoiding any congestion.

Vigilance and Security Measures by DCP City

Throughout the Mahakumbh, DCP City Abhishek Bharti has been personally monitoring traffic arrangements. He ensures that no gridlock develops at any point. Police personnel are positioned across different zones to prevent any inconvenience to visitors. Additionally, drone and CCTV cameras are used to monitor traffic and crowd situations. The administration stands fully prepared to handle any emergencies that may arise.

DCP's Statement on the Situation

DCP City Abhishek Bharti stated that traffic in Prayagraj is operating smoothly. All parking facilities have been activated since night. Pilgrims arriving for the Kumbh are directed to the nearest available parking. Shuttle buses then facilitate their transport into the fairgrounds. Traffic systems are functioning efficiently, with incoming vehicles halted at designated parking sites. Afterward, shuttle buses transport the pilgrims to the nearest parking locations within proximity to the Kumbh.
