Bhaker ranked third in the 60-shot qualifying round with a total of 580 points. She scored 97 in the first series, 97 in the second, 98 in the third, 96 in the fourth, 96 in the fifth, and 96 in the sixth series. Bhaker's final will be held tomorrow (July 28) at 3:30 PM IST.

Rhythm Sangwan's Disappointing Performance

In the Women's 10m Air Pistol event, Rhythm Sangwan also participated but did not perform well. Sangwan ranked 15th with a score of 573. The 22-year-old Manu Bhaker couldn't make a significant impact at the Tokyo Olympics but aims to perform better this time. Earlier, Indian shooters failed to advance in the 10m Air Rifle Mixed Team qualification stage. Two Indian pairs participated in this event. Ramita Jindal and Arjun Babuta scored a total of 628.7 to rank sixth, while Elavenil Valarivan and Sandeep Singh scored a total of 626.3 to rank 12th. Ramita and Arjun's pair had created some hope at one point and were in fifth place with three shots remaining but ended up 1.0 points shy of making it to the medal round.

Arjun started brilliantly in the second series, scoring 10.5, 10.6, 10.5, and 10.9. Ramita scored 10.2, 10.7, 10.3, and 10.1 in the second series. This performance placed the pair in the top eight, but not enough to make it to the medal round. To advance to the medal round, a top-four finish was necessary. Teams from China, Korea, and Kazakhstan occupied the top three spots in the qualification round.

Sarabjot Misses the Finals

On the other hand, Sarabjot Singh and Arjun Singh Cheema failed to make it to the finals of the Men's 10m Air Pistol. The top eight shooters qualify for the finals. Sarabjot ranked ninth in the qualifications with a total score of 577, while Arjun ranked 18th with a score of 574.

The German shooter Robin Walter, who secured the spot for the finals with 577 points, scored 17 accurate shots compared to Sarabjot's 16, pushing Sarabjot to ninth place. Despite scoring a perfect 100 in the fourth series and entering the top three, the 22-year-old shooter couldn't maintain his rhythm and narrowly missed the finals.
