The story dates back to 2008, when a special guest, Raja Mohammad Ali, traveled to Delhi with his nephew from Pakistan to reunite with his childhood friend, none other than India's then Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh.
In fact, Dr. Manmohan Singh was born on September 26, 1932, in the Punjab province of undivided India, which is now part of Pakistan. After the partition of India in 1947, at the age of 14, his family moved to India, where he pursued further education and spent the rest of his life.
News of Manmohan Singh becoming Prime Minister reached his ancestral village in Gah, in Pakistan's Punjab province, where his childhood friends still resided. One of those friends, Raja Mohammad Ali, visited Manmohan Singh in 2008.
