In a powerful rally on Martyrs' Day, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee sternly warned her party's (Trinamool Congress) MLAs and MPs against indulging in corruption. She emphasized, 'If I receive any complaints against you, strict actions will be taken'.
Amid the pouring rain on Sunday, she delivered her speech. Mamata firmly stated, 'Do no wrong to anyone, do not harm the people. We haven't spared even our own TMC members. They were arrested. So everyone, be cautious. Do not engage in injustice, and respect women.'
'If I receive any complaints...'
Mamata Banerjee accused the central government of deploying all agencies to secure the election win. 'We have achieved good results in Bengal. TMC is not just a political party, it's a party that serves everyone. Our performance in North Bengal was not satisfactory; I hope the people there will support us in the future,' she said.
Mamata also highlighted, 'We have spent 6000 crore rupees under schemes like Lakshmi Bhandar. I urge all our MPs, MLAs, and councilors that if we receive any complaints against you, strict action will be carried out.'
'Stay away from corruption'
She warned, 'I caution every MLA and MP to steer clear of any form of corruption. If any complaints come in, we will take strict actions. We haven't spared even TMC members; they were also arrested. So, everyone, beware.'
'We will keep fighting against BJP'
West Bengal's Chief Minister urged party leaders to 'respect women'. She emphasized that they would continue their legal battle to secure jobs and would not ally with BJP's divisive communal forces. 'We will continue to work against BJP and fight against BJP,' she declared.
Akhilesh Yadav also joined the rally
Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav also attended the TMC's 'Martyrs' Day' rally in Kolkata. Meanwhile, Bihar Congress President Akhilesh Prasad Singh, in response to the Yogi government's nameplate order during the Kanwar Yatra in UP, stated, 'These people do not believe in democracy. They are mocking the Constitution. The Indian Constitution respects all religions equally. Everything should progress accordingly.'
