On the occasion of Eid, West Bengal's Chief Minister, Mamata Banerjee, leveled serious accusations against the BJP, leading to a sharp response from the party. During an event, she stated, 'I attend various Iftars. I have just returned from Britain. We are celebrators of all faiths and festivals. The Left and BJP asked me, are you Hindu? I responded that I am Hindu, Muslim, Christian, Indian. We do not desire any riots. They claim communal riots are happening, demanding President's rule in Bengal. I ask, what did you do in Uttar Pradesh and Manipur?'
Mamata Banerjee further elaborated that when the Indian Army performs their duties, they have a single identity—Indian. It isn't about being Hindu or Muslim. I am from the religion of Ramakrishna and Swami Vivekananda, not the religion crafted by this slogan-driven party. This 'Jumla' party has created a dirty religion, we do not subscribe to it. Some political leaders attempt to commercialize these divisions, and I aim to halt their trade. I urge everyone to live in peace and harmony. I request them not to incite riots. We will not allow anyone to spark unrest.

BJP Raises Questions
Amit Malviya questioned, 'Is Sanatan Dharma a “dirty religion” for West Bengal's Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee? Numerous anti-Hindu riots occurred during her tenure, yet she mocks Hindus and dares to insult their faith. Once again, she has given Muslims the freedom to target Hindus openly.'

Shubhendu Adhikari also Criticizes
Shubhendu Adhikari accused, 'While appeasing the Muslim community, you (Mamata Banerjee) asserted that you do not follow a 'dirty religion.' Which religion were you specifically referring to? Sanatan Hindu Dharma? Was this a religious event or a political gathering? Why were you spreading hate intentionally creating animosity among communities?'
