On a bustling Friday evening in Chennai, the BSP state president, Armstrong, was brutally murdered. Arriving on three motorcycles, the assailants unleashed a flurry of knife attacks on Armstrong, then swiftly escaped the crime scene. The proactive Chennai police have since arrested eight suspects. Post-arrest, it has surfaced that all detainees are connected to the notorious Arcot Suresh Gang.
Initial investigations suggest that old rivalries and a spirit of vengeance may be the motives behind Armstrong's assassination. Last year, a known criminal named Arcot Suresh was killed in Chennai. The currently detained eight suspects are either related to Arcot Suresh or are members of his gang, including Ponni Bala, Suresh's brother now in custody.
Police interrogating the suspects
Additional Superintendant Asra Garg of North Chennai revealed that ten teams have been assembled for the investigation. The interrogation of the suspects shall uncover the motives behind the murder, which involved sharp weapons.
