The incident occurred in the Pishor Ghat section when a truck carrying sugarcane was traveling from Kannad to Pishor.

17 Workers were Aboard the Truck
The truck was carrying 17 workers. It is reported that the truck driver lost control over the wheels at Pishor Ghat, causing the vehicle to overturn. The workers were thrown onto the road and trapped under the heap of sugarcane. In this unfortunate accident, four workers lost their lives, while 13 were rescued alive.

An official informed that the injured workers were taken to the hospital for medical attention, while the deceased's bodies have been sent for post-mortem.
