Magisterial Investigation Begins into Mukhtar Ansari's Death; Statements of Banda Jail Staff to be Recorded

Banda News: Following the death of Mukhtar Ansari, the administration ordered a magisterial inquiry led by ADM Rajesh Kumar, which has now begun. Statements from the jail staff on duty that day will also be recorded.

Mafia don Mukhtar Ansari, imprisoned in Banda Jail, Uttar Pradesh, died of a heart attack on March 28 at Rani Durgavati Medical College in Banda. Consequently, a magisterial inquiry was ordered. ADM Rajesh Kumar initiated the investigation process and issued a letter explaining that anyone wanting to submit written or oral statements could do so by April 15 at his office.

The administration ordered a magisterial investigation following the death of Mukhtar Ansari, and ADM Rajesh Kumar has commenced the inquiry. Statements from the staff on duty in the jail that day will also be recorded.

ADM Rajesh Kumar issued a letter stating that Mukhtar Ansari of Yusufpur, Mohammdabad Police Station, Ghazipur District died on April 28 at Rani Durgavati Medical College, Banda. Consequently, a magisterial investigation is being conducted. Anyone wishing to submit written, oral, or witness statements could do so at his office by April 15, 2024.

On March 28, Mukhtar Ansari's health deteriorated in Banda Jail, after which he was immediately admitted to Banda Medical College for treatment, where he died during treatment. The medical report cited a heart attack as the cause of death. However, Mukhtar’s family alleges that he was slowly poisoned. Following these allegations, Banda District Officer ordered a magisterial inquiry, which ADM Rajesh Kumar is currently conducting.
