A case of hit and run has emerged from the capital of Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow. A tragic road accident unfolded near the Dubagga intersection, where an unidentified vehicle struck a husband and wife, resulting in their instant demise. This incident has sent a wave of sorrow throughout the Thakurganj area.
According to reports, the deceased couple was from the Sandhana area of Sitapur. After disembarking from a bus, they began crossing the street when a speeding unidentified vehicle hit them forcefully. The vehicle driver fled the scene immediately afterwards. This severe collision left the couple in a pool of blood, with bystanders rushing to their aid and notifying the police.

The couple had arrived in Lucknow for some work and were crossing the Dubagga intersection when the incident occurred. Upon receiving news of this accident, the Thakurganj police promptly arrived at the location to assess the situation. The couple succumbed to their injuries on the spot. Following this heartbreaking incident, a crowd gathered. The police have taken the bodies into custody, filed a case, and begun the investigation.
Footage from surrounding CCTV cameras is being reviewed carefully. The police have informed the deceased's family about the accident. Local residents assert that speeding vehicles are a primary cause of such accidents and urge the administration to implement strict measures to curb this issue.
