On the night of Diwali, crucial clues emerged in the murder case of a PAC inspector in Lucknow. The murderer had precise information about the inspector, which he used to execute the crime. During the murder, five rounds of bullets were fired. The inspector was hit twice in the stomach, once in the arm, and once in the neck. The police obtained CCTV footage of the incident.

This CCTV was installed at the house of the deceased inspector Satish Singh's brother. The voice recording from the footage reveals five rounds of gunfire. Moreover, 65 seconds after the shots, the screams of the inspector’s wife were recorded. Unfortunately, the killer's face was not recorded.

Currently, the Lucknow police are using the voice recording and other evidence to track down the murderer. A team has also been sent to Prayagraj, where PAC inspector Satish Singh was posted. The police suspicion repeatedly points to someone close to the inspector, as the circumstances suggest.

The murder occurred on Diwali night

It is noteworthy that around 2:30 AM on Diwali night, Inspector Satish Singh returned home with his wife and daughter from a relative's place. As he stepped out of the car to open the gate, an unknown assailant opened fire, leading to his instant death. According to Satish's wife Bhavna, by the time she got out of the car, the attacker had fled. The sound of gunfire was drowned out by the noise of fireworks on Diwali.

However, the sound of the gunfire was recorded on the CCTV installed at the home of Satish's elder brother, who lives nearby. Additionally, Bhavna's screams were captured on the recording a few seconds later. The police collected this voice recording as evidence and are piecing together the leads. So far, more than a dozen friends, relatives, and suspects have been interrogated. The police also questioned the girls mentioned by Satish's wife, Bhavna, as she suggested that her husband had relationships with other women. The investigation is also considering this angle.

Furthermore, DCP South Zone Vineet Jaiswal mentioned that during the time of Satish's murder, his wife was sitting in the car and heard a single shot. However, the killer fired five shots, which was confirmed by the post-mortem report and the voice recording from the CCTV at the brother's house. The police are including this evidence in their investigation. The search for the murderer is ongoing.
