In the Gosiganj area on the Purvanchal Expressway, a catastrophic bus accident unfolded on Monday. A high-speed double-decker bus, en route from Ludhiana to Darbhanga, lost control and overturned. Ansh Patel, present at the accident site, relayed that the double-decker bus was speeding and swaying like a snake right before accidently flipping over in front of his eyes. Distressed passengers began screaming, their belongings scattered across the road, halting traffic completely. Calls were made to the police, who arrived quickly and painstakingly righted the bus with a crane.

The Heartbreaking Scene
A passenger from the bus, Chandra Dev, described that they were headed from Ambala to Betia when a deafening noise preceded the bus's overturn. It seemed the driver was under the influence. They found themselves pinned beneath the vehicle while the driver and his assistant fled at the first opportunity.
Immediately after the event, a video emerged showing some injured or deceased passengers hanging from windows. Crowds gathered around, some in tears, others screaming. The fear and anguish of losing loved ones were palpable on the victims' faces.
