A new model has entered the lifestyle pick-up segment in India. Renowned Japanese automaker Isuzu has introduced the updated version of its popular pick-up, the Isuzu D-Max V-Cross, in India. This new model comes stronger than before, boasting design, feature, and mechanical upgrades. Notably, this pick-up is now only available with a 4x4 drivetrain, as Isuzu has discontinued the 4x2 variant.
The striking looks and powerful engine of the new D-Max V-Cross come with a starting price of 25.50 lakh rupees, extending up to 30.28 lakh rupees for the top model (ex-showroom). It directly competes with the Toyota Hilux in the market.
Although the overall shape of the new D-Max V-Cross remains unchanged, it features subtle and smart modifications. A more assertive front grille is now in place, complemented by a black-finished lower section. The bumper has been redesigned, eliminating the extensive cladding and removing the fake skid plate. New 18-inch alloy wheels grace the side profile, while the removal of the black wheel arch and side cladding provides a cleaner appearance.

Inside the cabin, notable upgrades are evident. A 10.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system replaces the previous 9-inch screen, supporting wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Enhanced contrast trims on the dashboard and doors give the cabin a premium feel. The top variant, Z Prestige, is outfitted with an eight-speaker roof-mounted audio system.
The pick-up retains the 1.9-liter diesel engine, generating 161 BHP and 360 Newton meters of torque. Customers can choose between a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic gearbox. The most significant alteration is the standardization of four-wheel drive (4WD) across all variants. Additionally, all trims include an auto-locking differential, enhancing off-road capability.

The inclusion of a 360-degree camera and tire pressure monitoring system simplifies driving, both in urban settings and off-road. With its robust 4x4 setup and advanced features, this pick-up offers customers a choice akin to a premium lifestyle SUV.
