In the village of Bhaktourikheda, near Nigohan in Lucknow, a significant exposure has taken place where people were being converted to Christianity under the guise of curing ailments. This racket has been active for two years. Following a complaint by Dharmendra Sharma of Bajrang Dal, police registered a case on Saturday and arrested the accused, Malkhan alias Matthews. Every Sunday, he used to organize 'Changai Sabha' in a hall situated on farmland. The police have now sealed this hall, and investigations are ongoing.
A Hidden 'Realm' Amidst Fields
The hall sealed by the police is located 2 kilometers away from the village, amidst fields. Upon arrival, 'Aaj Tak's team observed modern windows, large speakers, and pictures of the Bible and Jesus Christ. These indicate that the assembly was not just for prayers but were used for conversions. There were also provisions made for attendees, with expenses around 5-6 thousand rupees each gathering.

Women Stopped Wearing Traditional Symbols
The revelation was made when police implemented 'Mission Shakti' gatherings in villages. Among the attendees were numerous women who had ceased wearing traditional symbols due to conversions. Upon investigation by ACP Rajneesh Verma and Inspector Anuj Tiwari of Nigohan, it was discovered that this was an organized conversion racket. Matthews himself converted to Christianity in 2016, as revealed during questioning.
Probe into Foreign Funding Continues
During the probe, police identified two bank accounts held by Matthews, which are currently under investigation. Sources indicated that the gang utilized economic aid, ration provisions, and health recovery claims to convert impoverished and Dalit individuals. Matthews, on his own, converted over 500 individuals to Christianity. Areas including Mohanlalganj, Nagaram, and Nigohan have become hubs for these activities.
