The case of the shooting outside Bollywood actor Salman Khan's Galaxy Apartment has remained in the limelight. The Bishnoi Lawrence gang has taken responsibility for the attack, but the underlying question is, what is the gang's real motive behind orchestrating a shooting at Salman's house?

It's being said there are two major reasons for the attack. Firstly, to remind Salman Khan he is not beyond the reach of the Bishnoi gang. Secondly, to establish their stronghold in Mumbai for the purpose of extortion from the wealthy.

According to security agency sources, the claim of responsibility for the shooting at Salman's house, posted on social media, explicitly mentioned underworld don Dawood Ibrahim, signaling that Dawood's reign in Mumbai is now contested.

The police believe that the attackers are currently abroad, which is why they dared to openly admit the crime after such a major incident took place. This is to show their untouchability and resourcefulness in recruiting and dispatching hitmen from their gang's network to eliminate their targets.

Apart from personal security, the Mumbai Police have fortified Salman's residence with round-the-clock surveillance, following the incident.
