This unanticipated visitor perched at the shop for an impressive two and a half hours, attracting onlookers in droves. The shop's owner proclaimed the event as a divine visit from Lord Balaji, prompting some to offer tributes. Eventually, the monkey departed.
Owner Vipul Mittal of the spectacle shop located on Hospital Road near Sadar Chowk in Lakhimpur opened his store to find an unexpected guest—the langur had taken residence on the counter for an extensive period, while the bustling shop owner made his rounds around the shop.

The langur monkey’s appearance at the spectacle shop drew a considerable crowd, many eager to capture the event on video. Seated at the counter, the monkey admired its reflection. Vipul Mittal described the episode as an auspicious visitation by a langur in the form of Lord Balaji.
Eyewitness Rakesh Kumar Verma asserted this monkey embodied Lord Hanuman's form, capable of warding off other mischief-making monkeys with its presence. Deep reverence for this divine form filled the atmosphere, as attendees, presumably devotees of Hanuman, began offering fruits, bananas, biscuits, and other tributes.
The Monkey Prevented the Owner from Leaving
Interestingly, the langur refused to let the shopkeeper exit his store. Each attempt to leave saw the monkey rush towards him, blocking his way. Vipul expressed reverence, believing Balaji himself visited his establishment. The langur stepped away briefly for about half an hour before returning to resume its unexpected stay.
