In Uttar Pradesh's Barabanki, amidst torrential rain, a severe accident occurred when a massive tree came crashing down on a bus crowded with passengers. This unfortunate incident led to the tragic deaths of five individuals, leaving many others injured, with the condition of two described as critical. Following the tree's fall, a long traffic jam ensued. The police and administrative teams arrived promptly, executing a rescue operation to clear the route.

During the rescue, people began filming a woman trapped in the bus. Frustrated, she pleaded, 'This is a matter of life and death, yet you're filming. If you helped move the branches, we could escape.' Consequently, the crowd ensured the ejectment of the filming individual.

The accident took place near the Harakh Raja bazaar on the Barabanki–Haidergarh route while the bus was passing. As the tree fell, panic set in, with passengers scrambling for safety by jumping out of windows. Prompt medical attention was sought at a nearby hospital, where five fatalities were confirmed by the CMO.

In this devastating incident, five individuals, including four women, tragically lost their lives. Nearly half a dozen others sustained injuries and were rescued after the tree was cut away. The adverse weather conditions caused delays in the rescue operations.

Officials reported the bus was en route from Barabanki to Haidergarh. The deceased include the driver and a female teacher who was on her way to school despite it being a training day off, as per BO orders. Many passengers suffered injuries and are receiving medical treatment. Normalcy has since been restored in traffic movement.
