The administration has taken significant action against Gulshan Yadav, the acting district president of the Samajwadi Party in Pratapgarh. The District Magistrate has ordered the confiscation of Yadav's property under Section 14(1) of the Uttar Pradesh Gangsters and Anti-Social Activities (Prevention) Act, 1986.
According to the order by Pratapgarh's District Magistrate Shiva Sahai Awasthi, property worth 71,502,000 rupees, including Yadav's luxury vehicles, residential land, and other movable and immovable assets, will be seized.

It is noteworthy that Gulshan Yadav contested the legislative election from Kunda twice against the formidable MLA Raghuraj Pratap Singh, or Raja Bhaiya, under the Samajwadi Party's banner. He faced defeat both times. Once close to Raja Bhaiya, they parted ways over political differences, leading to harsh exchanges during election times.
The latest incident relates to regions such as Nagar Kotwali, Kunda and Manikpur Kotwali. The administration has taken action against Gulshan Yadav, identifying him as a gang leader. This move reflects the administration's stern stance against criminals. Additional Superintendent of Police Sanjay Rai stated that, under the District Magistrate's order, Yadav's vehicles, land, and assets totaling over 71,502,000 rupees are being seized.

Regarding Gulshan Yadav's criminal background, the Samajwadi Party leader has over 50 cases registered against him, most of which are in Pratapgarh. Currently, the Pratapgarh district administration has declared Gulshan Yadav a gang leader under the Gangster Act. This action has created a stir in political circles, while locally, it is considered a significant step towards strengthening law and order.
