Kuldeep Yadav unveiled how participating in the Duleep Trophy aided him in reclaiming his form for the Asia Cup 2025. After spending much of the England tour on the bench and being away from matches for an extended period, Kuldeep played a pivotal role in securing India's victory with the ball in this tournament.

The left-arm spinner captured 17 wickets at an average of 9.29 and delivered an outstanding performance of 4/30 in the final against Pakistan, ensuring India's triumph. In a video released by BCCI featuring a conversation with Rinku Singh, Kuldeep expressed that regaining rhythm was crucial for him, which he achieved through an extended spell in the Duleep Trophy.

Kuldeep Yadav's Revelation

Kuldeep stated, 'When you don't play cricket for a long time, getting back in rhythm is essential... This was critical for me, and I participated in the first game of the Duleep Trophy, where I bowled extensively. Consequently, when I entered the tournament, my bowling was already in good form.'

Kuldeep explained that his role in the team was to halt runs and snag wickets during the middle overs. He pointed out that captain Suryakumar Yadav entrusted him with this responsibility, which he fulfilled admirably. Kuldeep said he has no fixed goals, with his sole motivation being to give his best for the team whenever the opportunity arises.

It's worth noting that Kuldeep Yadav has also been selected for the India-West Indies series, which consists of a two-match series. The series kicks off on October 2, with the first match taking place in Ahmedabad, and the second and final match being held in New Delhi. Kuldeep did not get an opportunity in the Test series against England.
