The deceased officer has been identified as Safan Shah, a resident of Vadodara district in Gujarat. However, the police are currently investigating the matter.

Similiya Police Station SHO Dalpat Singh reported that the deceased was around 35 years old. About a year ago, his wife had committed suicide at her parents' house. It is said he was depressed since then.

For nearly 13 years, Safan Shah had been serving as a senior fire safety officer at Chambal Fertilizers and Chemicals Limited in Gadepan village, which falls under Similiya Police Station.

Further elaborating, SHO Dalpat Singh informed PTI that Safan Shah used to live within the company's township in the same village.
