In the tug-of-war financial dispute between Kerala and the central government, the Supreme Court has asked senior officials from both parties to resolve the financial issues by meeting on Wednesday at 5 PM. Based on the meeting outcomes, both sides may return to the Supreme Court. The Court also instructed both parties not to discuss the matter with the media until the case is pending.

The government of Kerala has accused the central government of not disbursing funds, leading to difficulties. They have requested 13,000 crores for their financial management and are seeking an additional 15,000 crores. This funding, arising from various taxes, is allocated by the center to all states.

The center is ready to disburse the rightful 13,000 crores to Kerala but is not prepared to release an additional 15,000 crores. This is the third instance when the Supreme Court has asked both parties to discuss and resolve these issues. During the hearing, Justice Suryakant highlighted that India has become a robust, continually progressing economy, and said that the world recognizes India, mostly due to its economic growth.
