Panic struck the residential area of Erode in Karnataka when a cobra made an unexpected appearance. A snake catcher was promptly called, but even he broke a sweat trying to capture the agitated serpent. After a considerable struggle, the cobra was finally secured.
The subsequent investigation revealed the cobra had laid eggs near the bushes. Later, the snake was safely released into a dense forest, and its eggs were placed in a protected spot. According to information, the venomous cobra first caught the attention of Periyan Nagar residents in the understory.
When the team arrived to seize the cobra, it became enraged. Hissing fiercely, it slithered onto a nearby motorcycle and took position. The spread-hooded snake repeatedly tried to bite the team members.
Only after much effort did the team manage to subdue the venomous cobra and securely place it in a container. At the location where the cobra was first spotted, the team found its eggs. The cobra had been guarding the site for the protection of its eggs. Later, the creature was released deep into the forest, and the eggs were also stored safely.
In another incident in Karnataka's Shivamogga, two cobras were found in a bedroom at a wedding house. Responders successfully rescued the snakes. However, one of the rescuers, while attempting to playfully kiss a cobra, was bitten on the lip. He was rushed to the hospital and saved just in time thanks to timely treatment.
