What's the Issue?
The dispute in Karnataka Congress revolves around power-sharing. Reportedly, an agreement was established during the formation of the government: Siddaramaiah would serve as Chief Minister for two and a half years, and then DK Shivakumar would take over for the remaining term. As Siddaramaiah's tenure is expected to conclude in 2025, DK's supporters now demand his ascension to the chief ministerial post.
