Karnataka's Deputy Chief Minister (DCM) D.K. Shivakumar refused to provide a direct response to speculations around cabinet expansion or leadership change. Speaking to journalists in New Delhi on Friday, he mentioned that the Chief Minister (CM) would be in a better position to provide information on these matters.
Shivakumar stated, "I have no knowledge of this. For more details, you should talk to the Chief Minister." When asked if the Chief Minister received a green light from the high command for cabinet reshuffling, Shivakumar replied, "I don't know whom he met. Allocating time with CM in Delhi is a common procedure."
When questioned if he would discuss cabinet expansion with the high command, Shivakumar clarified, "I am not going to say anything. If they (high command) ask me, I will present my viewpoint. I understand what the high command asks and what it doesn't; I will not discuss this with the media."

Proclaimed Loyal Party Soldier
He further mentioned that a high command meeting might occur on Sunday. When questioned about the Chief Minister's meetings with the Prime Minister (PM) and the high command, he remarked, "What's wrong with that? He has the right to meet anyone, be it the PM, Home Minister, or our party president."
When called a loyal soldier of the party, he succinctly replied, "Our job is to follow the party."
