A grave accident occurred on the Karmabhoomi Express traveling from Mumbai's Lokmanya Tilak Terminus to Bihar. Just beyond Nasik Road Railway Station, three passengers fell from the train, resulting in two fatalities on the spot while one person remains critically injured. The purpose of their journey—whether for festival celebrations or participation in the impending Bihar elections—remains under investigation.

Upon receiving information, Nasik Road Police swiftly arrived at the scene and took custody of the deceased bodies. According to the police, the mishap transpired between kilometers 190/1 and 190/3 on the tracks leading to Bhusawal. The victims, both reportedly aged between 30 to 35 years, were not immediately identified. The third passenger was rushed to a district hospital due to severe injuries.

The identity of these passengers remains unknown as authorities have filed an accidental death case and commenced a detailed investigation. Preliminary findings suggest that overcrowding led to the passengers' fall from the train.

Reports indicate these passengers traveled in the general compartment, with their belongings seized for identification purposes.

Identification Process of Passengers Underway

Upon hearing about the incident, the manager of Odha Railway Station, Akash, informed the police. Thereafter, Senior Inspector Jitendra Sapkale, Sub-Inspector Mali, and Constable Bhole reached the site. The police team documented the scene and initiated the process of identifying the deceased.
