In the district of Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, a man brutally murdered his wife before taking the life of his mother-in-law who attempted to intervene. This gruesome event sent shockwaves throughout the community. The accused had visited his in-laws, where he orchestrated this horrifying crime. The police have successfully apprehended the murderer responsible for this double homicide.
The motive behind the murders is suspected to be infidelity on the part of the wife. The incident occurred last Sunday night in the Friends Colony area of Chakeri. Joseph Peter, also known as Badal from Bulandshahr district, had come to visit his in-laws, where his 39-year-old wife Kamini Singh and 65-year-old mother-in-law Pushpa were staying.
According to the police, Badal was constantly suspicious of his wife. This suspicion frequently led to disputes between the couple.
As reported by PTI, Rajesh Srivastava, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, East Kanpur, mentioned that the accused's wife Kamini worked in a private canteen and Badal suspected her of having an affair with someone from Delhi.
Peter Joseph, alias Badal, arrived in Kanpur and on Sunday, summoned an auto to take Kamini out, but she refused, which led to a heated argument between them.
During the argument, Badal lost his temper and in a moment of fury, struck Kamini's neck with a sharp weapon, leaving her lifeless on the ground as blood gushed around. This horrifying act wasn't the end of Badal's wrath.
The DCP explained that Badal also killed his mother-in-law by hitting her head with an iron rod as she tried to mediate in their argument. The DCP narrated that neighbors, alarmed by the screams, alerted the police.
Upon arriving at the scene, the police discovered the blood-soaked bodies of Kamini and Pushpa on the floor, with the culprit present. The police promptly arrested the accused and sent the bodies for post-mortem after conducting an inquest.
