At the Majlis-e-Tahaffuz Khatm-e-Nubuwwat Conference held in Kanpur, Maulana Arshad Madani, president of Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind, addressed the audience, stating that inscribing 'I Love Muhammad' in markets does not represent genuine love. He proclaimed, 'If love runs deep, embrace the attributes of Allah within your heart.'
Madani voiced his concern from the stage regarding the country's escalating communalism and the politics of hatred, remarking, 'Sectarian strife has taken root in our land. Hatred's seed was initially planted against Muslims, and now enormous trees of animosity have grown.'
'The Calls of the Azaan Are Being Suppressed'
He remarked that presently, divisive forces are attempting to portray Islam as a warlike religion, yet true Islamic teachings are about love, justice, and peace. 'I challenge anyone to present a more pristine picture of their religion than the one exemplified by Islamic teachings,' he said.
He also expressed displeasure over government bulldozer actions and the targeting of mosques. Madani stated, 'Bulldozers are active at various places, mosques are being demolished, and the voice of the azan is being subdued. The only effective counter is through education in the Quran and Hadith.'
'Your Character Can Depict Islam's True Image'
Madani urged Muslims to portray the true image of Islam to the world through their character and conduct. He encouraged, 'Those thriving on hatred may wield power, but through your character, you can reveal Islam's true visage.'
In conclusion, Maulana Madani stated that the love between Hindus and Muslims was once the hallmark of this nation. 'Witness the politics of hatred today, and disdain it. The teachings of love and affection were once the soul of this land,' he observed.
