Major Achievement for Jharkhand Police: 10 Naxalites Surrender, Including 4 Women

Jharkhand's police have achieved significant success against the Maoist organization. On Thursday, September 25, 2025, 10 members of the active CPI (Maoist) group in the Kolhan and Saranda regions surrendered to police and central forces, including 4 women.

The surrender took place in the police lines before DGP Anurag Gupta. He remarked that Jharkhand's surrender and rehabilitation policy ranks among the best in the nation. Those Naxalites who surrender will be provided with opportunities for a new life. Meanwhile, those who persist in carrying arms will face stern action.

10 Naxalites Surrendered

Anurag Gupta also asserted that Naxalism will be eradicated from the state by December 31, 2025. The ongoing joint operations by Jharkhand Police and central paramilitary forces have significantly weakened the Maoist stronghold. According to police data, over the last three years, they have conducted approximately 9,631 operations. These efforts have led to the arrest of 175 Naxalites and the deaths of 10 in encounters. A substantial cache of weapons, explosives, and ammunition has been seized.

Among the surrendering individuals were Area Committee member Rando Boipai alias Kanti Boipai, and active squad members Garti Koda, John alias Johan Purti, Nirso Sidu alias Asha, Ghonor Devgam, Gomeya Koda alias Tarzan, Kaira Koda, Keri Kayam alias Gulanchi, Savitri Gop alias Muturi alias Football, and Pradeep Singh Munda. All of these individuals have been involved in multiple criminal cases. Thanks to the state government's surrender and rehabilitation policy, 26 Naxalites have reintegrated into mainstream society. Today's surrender has been marked by security agencies as a significant blow to the Maoists.
