JEE Mains Topper Sai Manogna Guthikonda:
The results for JEE Mains Session-2 (April session) have been declared. A total of 24 students from different states have secured a 100 percentile NTA score in this session. Remarkably, out of these, only two girls, Devatta Majhi from West Bengal and Sai Manogna Guthikonda from Andhra Pradesh, achieved this feat. Interestingly, Sai Manogna also topped the JEE Mains Session-1.
Sai Manogna Guthikonda was the only student to top the JEE Mains Session-1 (January 2025), making it an extraordinary gift for her 17th birthday. Despite this success, she appeared for the JEE Mains again, securing a 100 percentile in the General Category. In Session-1, 14 students achieved this score, with Sai Manogna as the only female. In Session-2, both Devatta Majhi and Sai Manogna made the top of the list.
Preparing for JEE Mains Without Coaching
After achieving a 100 percentile in Session-1, Sai Manogna revealed in an interview with the English news website Indian Express that she did not enroll in any coaching institute for JEE Mains, as she felt fully prepared. She preferred group study with friends.
She shared, "My teachers and friends constantly supported me. I enjoy subjects that involve logical reasoning, which is why Computer Science and Mathematics are my favorites. I used to conduct group study sessions with my six friends."
Studying 12 to 14 Hours Daily
Regarding her study strategy, Sai mentioned that she dedicated 12 to 14 hours daily to prepare for both JEE Mains and her school exams, stating, "Regular revision enhanced my confidence. Sunday was my only day off when I would relax, wake up late, and watch motivational videos about life and research at IIT."
Leaving Social Media Post 10th Grade
Speaking about social media, she explained, "I was on Instagram until 10th grade but deactivated my account to focus on studies, as it was a distraction. Initially, it was tough to leave, but I realized I had to if I wanted to secure admission to a good college."
Why Reappear for JEE Mains Session-2 After Achieving 100 Percentile?
Sai Manogna stated, 'I'm aiming for a good rank currently. I am interested in Electronics and Communication but haven't decided on a college or branch yet.' She further added, 'My focus is on JEE Advanced, but I registered for the April session for practice.'

Upon securing a 100 percentile in JEE Mains Session-1, Sai Manogna received congratulatory wishes from Andhra Pradesh's Chief Minister, Chandrababu Naidu. He shared photos with Sai Manogna and her parents on his X account, captioned, 'Delighted to meet our JEE topper Sai Manogna Guthikonda and her proud parents. Brother is an IIIT Student, Father is a Mechanical Engineering Teacher, and Mother is a Nutritionist Originally from Andhra Pradesh's Palnadu district, Sai Manogna is a student at Bhavan's Junior College and recently appeared for the Andhra Pradesh Board's Intermediate Second-Year Exam (Class 12), held in March. Her mother, Padmaja, is a nutritionist. Her elder brother is in the final year at the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) in Kottayam, Kerala. Sai's father teaches Mechanical Engineering at RVR and JC College of Engineering in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh.
It’s noteworthy that in the JEE Mains April session exam, the highest number of toppers, seven, are from Rajasthan. Following this, Maharashtra, Telangana, and Uttar Pradesh each have three toppers. Delhi has two, West Bengal has two, Gujarat has two, and Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh each have one student who scored a 100 percentile.
