Horrific Road Accident on Jaipur-Agra Highway Claims Lives of Mother and Son Colliding With Truck

A significant accident took place on the Jaipur-Agra highway Friday morning when an ambulance carrying a snakebite victim hit a truck. The crash resulted in the death of mother Mathuri Devi at the scene, while son Dashrath died later. Two others were injured. The ambulance driver blamed the truck’s sudden braking for the accident.

In a tragic early morning accident on Rajasthan's Jaipur-Agra National Highway, a mother and son lost their lives. This unfortunate incident happened in the Kanota area, around 30 kilometers from Jaipur, as an ambulance was rushing a snakebite victim to Jaipur's SMS Hospital. Upon receiving the information, the police arrived at the scene and took possession of the bodies for postmortem.

According to the police, the deceased youth has been identified as Dashrath Yogi, aged 21, who was bitten by a snake while sleeping at home late Thursday night. His family rushed him to Dausa District Hospital for immediate treatment, but as his condition worsened, he was referred to Jaipur. While traveling, the ambulance collided with a truck on the Jaipur-Agra highway early Friday morning.

In this accident, Dashrath's mother, Mathuri Devi, aged 48, died instantly at the scene, while critically injured Dashrath later succumbed to his injuries. Two other relatives present in the ambulance were also injured and admitted to a nearby hospital. The ambulance driver claimed that the truck suddenly applied brakes, causing the collision.

The police are investigating the incident and have impounded both vehicles. Local residents and the victim's family are demanding strict action from the authorities.
