Following the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, tensions between India and Pakistan are escalating. Amidst this, a major announcement has come to light. In Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, at the Ordnance Factory Khamaria (OFK), the authorities have canceled all leaves of employees and officers exceeding two days with immediate effect. This decision has been made to meet the critical production targets.

Why Leaves Were Canceled

According to reports from the news agency, OFK's Public Relations Officer, Avinash Shankar, stated, 'Leaves exceeding two days for the officers and employees have been canceled to ensure we achieve the set production targets for this financial year.'

Essential Ammunition Production for the Army

At the Khamaria Ordnance Factory, approximately 4,000 employees are employed. This factory plays a crucial role in supplying ammunition to the Indian Armed Forces, thus holding a significant place in national security.

The spokesperson further explained, 'We have received a substantial production target for this financial year, but in April, we couldn't reach our expected production rate. Due to this, directives from the headquarters have instructed us to cancel leaves and manufacture ammunition with adequate manpower.'

The objective of this decision is to achieve production targets on time and ensure the uninterrupted supply of crucial materials to the defense forces. It is conveyed that this step is temporary, and an evaluation will follow once the targets are met.
