Suhail Hussein Husseini, the Hezbollah commander responsible for the terror organization's weapon depots, supply chains, budgets, and logistics, was closely involved in determining the sources and destinations for weapons. On the night of October 7, 2024, this Hezbollah leader was killed in Beirut during an Israeli airstrike.
The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) stated that Husseini orchestrated arms deals abroad and was a part of Hezbollah's top military body, the Jihad Council. Husseini was instrumental in the exchange of arms between Iran and Hezbollah, enabling fighters to acquire advanced weapons from Iran.
Husseini meticulously managed the acquisition and distribution of arms from Iran, deciding which units received them and overseeing all logistics. Beyond procurement, he was responsible for strategic planning and execution, including budget management for Hezbollah's most sensitive logistical operations, which underpin war strategies.
Husseini orchestrated numerous terrorist attacks on Israel from Lebanon and Syria. The building where he was killed served as Hezbollah's Research and Development Center, focusing on the design and construction of new guided missiles.
