On Wednesday, the Israeli military intercepted several boats laden with international activists and aid bound for Gaza, escorting them to an Israeli port. This strategic move interrupted a widely noted protest against the blockade on Gaza, which has become a topic of global conversation.
According to Reuters, the Israeli Foreign Ministry's video shows the most talked-about passenger, Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg, seated on deck surrounded by soldiers. Israel has also detained Mushahid Ahmad Khan, a former Pakistani parliamentarian linked to Hamas. Over 200 individuals from 37 countries aboard this flotilla have been detained by Israeli forces.

Israel Issues Statement
On X (formerly Twitter), the Foreign Ministry stated, 'Several vessels of the Hamas-Sumud Flotilla have been safely intercepted, and their passengers are being transported to an Israeli port. Greta and her companions are safe and healthy.'
The campaign known as 'Global Sumud Flotilla' aimed at delivering essential medicines and food to Gaza, included over 40 civilian boats with around 500 MPs, lawyers, and activists.
Reports from the agency highlight multiple videos shared on Telegram by the flotilla, showing passengers with passports stating that they were forcibly taken to Israel, insisting their mission was purely 'non-violent and humanitarian.'

Turkey Calls Israeli Action an 'Attack'
The flotilla, advancing through the Mediterranean, captured global attention. Nations like Turkey, Spain, and Italy dispatched their boats and drones to assist their citizens if necessary. Meanwhile, Israel had warned that the flotilla should turn back.
Turkey's Foreign Ministry described Israel's interception of the flotilla as an 'attack' and 'act of terror,' stating it endangered the lives of innocent civilians. Protests erupted in Italy against Israel's actions.
