Israel has neutralized Hamas Chief Yahya Sinwar, believed to be the mastermind behind the attack in Israel on October 7 last year. This attack resulted in the tragic loss of 1,200 Israelis, and several American and Israeli citizens were captured by Hamas. Following Yahya's demise, a wave of celebration has swept across Israel. Yahya's death is hailed as a significant triumph for Israel as there are numerous tales of his cruelty that will leave you astonished.

Renowned by Many Names Like 'Butcher of Khan Yunis'

Yahya Sinwar is known by various names. Some called him 'Hamas' Osama bin Laden,' while others referred to him as the 'Butcher of Khan Yunis.' Israel called him the 'Hitler of Terror.' His cruelty was such that in suspicion of betrayal to Hamas and loyalty to Israel, he tormented and killed even Palestinians. Openly brandishing weapons among children, he extinguished their innocence with the venom of terror. He then accused Israel of atrocities against children. The vast tunnel network in Gaza was his power, concealing many of his secrets.

Yahya Sinwar was also dubbed the 'Butcher of Khan Yunis.' Following the October 7 attack, Israeli media compared him to the infamous terrorist Osama bin Laden. Israel Defense Forces Spokesman Lt. Col. Richard Hecht described him as the 'Face of Evil,' calling him a 'walking dead man.' Sinwar was born in 1962 in a Palestinian refugee camp in Khan Yunis, south Gaza. This is why he was also known as the 'Butcher of Khan Yunis.' He never hesitated to engage in open massacres.

Sinwar Was Born in a Refugee Camp

Born in 1962 in a refugee camp in Khan Yunis, Sinwar grew up during Israel's occupation of Gaza. He once mentioned that his mother dressed him in clothes made from empty sacks of UN food aid. Sinwar spent about 22 years of his life in prison. He said in an interview that prison refines you. In 1992, Sinwar led a strike in prison, which marked the beginning of his recognition as a leader.

Released from Prison in 2011

Sinwar was finally released from prison in 2011. In November 2012, he met General Qasem Soleimani, gaining significant fame and fostering good relations with Iran by 2017. He refused negotiations with Israel, stating he preferred to die as a martyr rather than being oppressed and humiliated.

Declared a Global Terrorist in 2015

In 1988, Israeli agencies arrested Yahya Sinwar when he was 19 years old. Tried and convicted, he was sentenced to four life terms. However, a deal between Israel and Hamas saw his release in 2011. In 2015, he was declared a 'Global Terrorist' by the US State Department. Recently, France froze his assets and added him to its national sanctions list. Despite so many restrictions and opposition, his influence remained undiminished.

Masterminded the October 7 Massacre in Israel

Yahya Sinwar became a member of Hamas in the late 80s and quickly carved out a distinct identity. Within a few years, he became one of the founders of Hamas' internal intelligence, known as 'Majd.' Sinwar spent over two decades in an Israeli prison for murdering two Israeli soldiers and four Palestinians. After his release, he became even more ruthless, swearing to annihilate Israel and orchestrating the massacre on October 7.

Notorious Tales of Yahya Sinwar's Cruelty

The tales of Sinwar's cruelty are infamous. Once, on suspicion of spying for Israel, he buried a man alive. The most terrifying part is that he ordered the grave to be dug with a spoon by the victim's brother. In 2015, he orchestrated a gruesome end for a Hamas commander accused of homosexuality and embezzlement. It's said that he has cheated death multiple times, often rumored to have been killed.

This Is How Sinwar Was Taken Down

On Wednesday, Israel launched an attack on a building in Gaza, reportedly killing three individuals. Israeli soldiers claimed that one of the bodies resembled Yahya Sinwar. Upon investigation, it was confirmed that the person who died in the attack was indeed Yahya Sinwar.
