Following continuous attacks by Hezbollah, Israel launched its largest strike against them on Monday. This is considered the biggest attack since the war between the two in 2006, occurring 18 years later. Israel targeted 1600 sites in southern Lebanon, resulting in around 585 Lebanese deaths. Among the dead were a significant number of children and women. Amidst this, there are reports of a hack on the radio system in Lebanon. It's being reported that Israel's messages began playing on the local radio networks, urging people to evacuate Hezbollah areas and move to safer locations.
Initially, there were blasts in pager, walkie-talkie, and solar energy systems, and following the hack in the radio system, fear spread among the people in Lebanon. Even Hezbollah fighters were shaken, advised to stay away from all types of gadgets. On Monday, Israel also issued phone warnings to residents to immediately vacate their homes and buildings. There were over 80,000 suspected Israeli calls in Lebanon.
Imad Kreidieh, head of the telecom company Ogero, stated that these calls are part of a psychological war aimed at causing chaos and destruction. Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu released a video message. In his video, the Prime Minister said, 'I want to relay an urgent message to the people of Lebanon. Israel is not fighting against you. We are fighting against Hezbollah, which is using you as human shields.'
Netanyahu further added in his message, 'Hezbollah has placed rockets in your living rooms and missiles in your garages. They are attacking our citizens with these weapons. For our safety, it's time to destroy these weapons. Therefore, you are being warned to stay away from Hezbollah's positions. Please move to safe areas immediately.' Currently, airstrikes are ongoing between Israel and Hezbollah.
