The Special CBI Court at Delhi's Rouse Avenue has officially charged Lalu Prasad Yadav, Rabri Devi, and Tejashwi Yadav in the IRCTC scam case. The court remarked that Lalu Yadav intervened in the tender process and orchestrated significant amendments.

The Court Asked Lalu: Do You Accept the Charges?

The court informed Lalu Yadav of the charges being filed against him and questioned whether he considered them right or wrong. Inquiring if he pleaded guilty, Lalu Yadav responded, declaring himself not guilty.

The court observed that some properties were undervalued, later transferring to the names of Rabri Devi and Tejashwi Yadav. It also raised concerns about significant suspicion in the share transfer and land acquisitions, hinting at a conspiracy to economically defraud the state artfully crafted by multiple individuals.

A Total of 14 Accused in the Case

The court highlighted fraudulent practices and irregularities in the tender and share transfer processes. In this extensive IRCTC scam case, Lalu Yadav has been accused of criminal misconduct and fraud as a public officer.

Trial to Proceed Under Section 420

Reading the charges, the court stated that Lalu Yadav abused his position, influenced tender and eligibility conditions, and colluded to buy land at below-market values from the Kochar brothers. This conspiracy aimed to later place these properties under Rabri and Tejashwi's control.

Rabri Devi and Tejashwi Yadav have also been charged with fraud and conspiracy. The court has finalized charges under IPC Section 420, 120B, and PC Act Section 13(2) against all accused.
