Iran holds a missile capable of deceiving any air defense system of Israel or the USA. Concerns about this missile, named Khorramshahr (Khorramshahr Missile) after an Iranian city, being used against Israel for the first time have surfaced.
This medium-range ballistic missile can strike within 1000 to 2000 kilometers. It can carry an 1800-kilogram warhead, whether conventional, nuclear, or a mix of types. Weighing 19.5 tons, the missile is 13 meters in length with a diameter of 1.5 meters.

This missile operates on a liquid-fueled rocket and is launched from a truck, providing the flexibility to launch from anywhere. If launched from Iran's borders, it could easily target any city in Israel. Defense experts also say it’s the Iranian version of North Korea's Hwasong-10 missile.
North Korea provided Iran with BM-25 missile technology long ago, which had a range of 2500 kilometers. The Khorramshahr missile was developed based on this technology. Iran reduced the size of the missile and the amount of propellant. If launched from western Iran, it can easily target countries such as Israel, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Romania, Bulgaria, and Greece.

The Khorramshahr missile has four variants: 1, 2, 3, and 4. The fourth variant is also called Kheibar. This missile includes technology for deploying multiple warheads, allowing Iran to target several locations in Israel with a single missile. It was unveiled on May 25, 2023.
The Khorramshahr-4 missile has a range of 2000 kilometers and can carry a 1500-kilogram warhead. The launch setup takes only 12 minutes. Capable of mid-course direction changes, this missile cannot be intercepted or disrupted by any electronic warfare system as it follows terminal guidance.
