Rajasthan Royals raised the bid to ₹11.8 crore, which was over 80% of their total purse. Meanwhile, KKR, having the largest purse, propelled their bid to ₹12 crore. Sensing KKR's resilience, Rajasthan made a final push with a ₹13.6 crore bid but soon had to bow out.

The contest transformed into a race between KKR and CSK, with the bid speeds escalating to ₹16.2 crore, with CSK in the lead initially. In no time, KKR leaped to ₹18.4 crore, but CSK persistently raised the stakes to ₹18.6 crore. The bids were so fast and furious that even the calculators fell behind. As the bids soared beyond ₹24 crore, CSK finally stepped down after KKR made a historic bid of ₹25.2 crore, thus securing Cameron Green.
Outstanding Debut Season
Cameron Green made a sensational debut in IPL 2023 for Mumbai Indians (MI), where he delivered an electrifying performance by scoring 452 runs and claiming 6 wickets. His all-round excellence positioned him among the league’s most vibrant young talents.
Before the IPL 2024 season, MI traded him for ₹17.5 crore to Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). During his stint with RCB, Green contributed 255 runs and took 10 crucial wickets. However, a back injury necessitated surgery, sidelining him from the IPL 2025 mega auction. Now fully recovered, Green is all set to dominate the field once more with KKR in the IPL.
