The much-anticipated Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 mega auction is set to take place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on November 24 and 25. Out of 1,574 registered players, a selective list of 574 players has been shortlisted for the event. From these, only up to 204 players might be chosen by the franchises given their remaining budget of 641 crore rupees collectively.

Final Showdown Date

This thrilling auction sets the stage for the upcoming season of IPL 2025, which will kick off on March 14, culminating in a grand finale on May 25. The comprehensive match schedule will be released soon to amp up anticipation.

Among the shortlisted players, 81 come with a base price of 2 crore rupees, while 27 have a base price of 1.5 crore rupees. Additional players with base prices ranging from 1.25 crore to 30 lakh rupees are also in the mix.

Big players like Rishabh Pant, KL Rahul, Mohammed Shami, Shreyas Iyer, Ravichandran Ashwin, and Yuzvendra Chahal are all set to make waves, having registered themselves with a base price of 2 crore rupees. International stars like Glenn Maxwell, Mitchell Starc, Jos Buttler, David Warner, James Anderson, Trent Boult, and Faf du Plessis also add flair to the list.

Punjab Kings have the highest remaining purse of 110.5 crore rupees, having retained only two players, Shashank Singh and Prabhsimran Singh. Meanwhile, Royal Challengers Bangalore stands second with a purse of 83 crore rupees. Of note, Rajasthan Royals hold the smallest purse at 41 crore rupees.
