Instagram is introducing a new feature that promises to revolutionize the user experience. With the upcoming update, users will have the ability to reset recommendations on Explore, Reels, and Feed. The goal of this feature is to remove irrelevant posts from user feeds and stories.
Instagram aims to provide a safe and personalized experience for its users, particularly targeting younger audiences. This new feature will soon be available to users globally.
Instagram will continue to offer content recommendations. Users can also review accounts and opt to unfollow unnecessary ones, with choices labeled as 'Interested' or 'Not Interested'.

To use this, users will find an option with three dots in the corner of posts. Select 'Interested'. The app also provides an option marked 'Not Interested'.
Instagram claims users will need to personalize their recommendations again. Based on interactions, content suggestions will be provided. Any time users reset this, they will have the option to review accounts to unfollow those whose content they do not wish to see.

In select countries, teenagers already have tools to choose topics of interest, like cooking, sports, etc. Instagram is also launching a new page on its Transparency Center to ensure teenagers view appropriate content, complete with tools to block sensitive materials.
