Instagram Outage: On Tuesday, Instagram experienced a service disruption, leaving many users unable to access its services. The outage was tracked by Downdetector, a site monitoring social media and websites, where numerous reports indicated issues started around 11:30 AM.
Nearly 1,000 users reported issues on Downdetector, and within minutes, this number neared 2,000. Users noted difficulties in operating Instagram and shared posts about 'Instagram Down' on the X platform (formerly Twitter).
Instagram is a highly popular platform for sharing photos and videos, particularly favored by the youth. Instagram Reels, a feature allowing short video sharing, is especially trendy among users.
As of now, neither Instagram nor its parent company, Meta, has issued an official statement regarding the outage. However, social media humorously abounded with memes as users shared their reactions.
Many took to the X platform to share mobile screenshots revealing the message ‘Sorry, Something Went Wrong’ on Instagram, along with photos showing users flocking to the X platform (formerly Twitter) in response.
