Currently, the Indian women's team is engaged in a three-match ODI series against Australia. After losing the first match, Team India was scheduled to play the second match on Wednesday. Ahead of this match, star all-rounder Deepti Sharma addressed the media. When asked if the Indian women's team would refuse to shake hands with Pakistan like the men's team, she responded.

Deepti Sharma stated, 'Our complete focus is currently on the Australia series. The Pakistan match is still some time away, we will consider it closer to the date. Once the match happens, we will decide on our course of action.' Deepti also affirmed that Team India is strong and if every player gives their best, they can level the series. The women's team will then embark directly on their World Cup mission.

The ICC Women's World Cup 2025 will commence on September 30. The inaugural match will be played between India and Sri Lanka in Guwahati, with the final slated for November 2. Due to Pakistan's participation, India and Sri Lanka are co-hosting these matches.
