After the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, India has initiated stringent measures against Pakistan, including suspending the Indus Water Treaty. This has caused an uproar in Pakistan, prompting leaders like Bilawal Bhutto to issue strong statements. He declared that either water will flow in the Indus River or it will be blood. 'The Indus is ours and will remain ours.'

Speaking at a public gathering by the Indus River in Sukkur, Bilawal Bhutto asserted, 'Standing by the Indus, I emphasize clearly that this river has been, is, and will remain ours. Either our water will flow from it, or the blood of those who try to diminish our share.'

'Our Army is Prepared to Respond to Every Attack'

Bilawal stated that India cannot dictate who controls the water just because of their larger population. The people of Pakistan are brave and dignified, ready to confront challenges head-on, and our army stands prepared at the borders to respond to any aggression.

Calling the Indus River a shared legacy of all Pakistanis, Bilawal urged unity among the citizens. 'Every Pakistani will carry the Indus's message worldwide, declaring that we will not accept any encroachments on our river. The entire nation must respond to any threats to our water.', he emphasized.

'We Will Respond Decisively'

Promoting the unity of Pakistan’s four provinces, Bilawal stated they are like four brothers who will stand together to firmly counter India's every move. This bold declaration comes as India moved to suspend the Indus Waters Treaty following the attack in Pahalgam, an action Pakistan equates as tantamount to war.
