DRDO has successfully tested the indigenous Man-Portable Anti-Tank Guided Missile (MPATGM) at the Pokhran Field Firing Range in Rajasthan. A video of this test is also available for you to watch below... This missile has the capability to obliterate enemy tanks and armored vehicles.

In the future, it will also be deployed in the main battle tank Arjun. During the Pokhran tests, the MPATGM accurately hit its target. This indigenous anti-tank missile is equipped with a tandem High Explosive Anti-Tank (HEAT) warhead capable of piercing modern explosive reactive armor (ERA). Essentially, no tank or armored vehicle of today can escape its wrath.

Several trials of this missile have been conducted. It weighs 14.50 kg and is 4.3 feet long. Operating it requires two personnel. The range spans from 200 meters to 2.50 km. The MPATGM can be equipped with a tandem charge HEAT warhead and a penetration warhead. Following its inclusion in the army, the old versions of the French-made Milan-2T and the Russian-made Konkurs anti-tank guided missiles will be replaced.
