The ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024 has come to a grand conclusion. This time, the tournament unfolded from June 2nd to June 29th across venues in the West Indies and the USA, with the nail-biting final played between India and South Africa at the Kensington Oval, where India emerged victorious by a slender margin of 7 runs to secure a memorable win, leading to a colossal prize payout. The triumphant Indian team wasn’t just overflowing with pride but also with prize money, as ICC had announced the total prize money of 11.25 million dollars (approximately 93.51 Crore Rupees).

The victors, the Indian team, earned a handsome 20.36 crore rupees (2.45 million dollars), marking a historic high for prize money in the tournament's history. In contrast, the valiant runner-up South Africa received 10.64 crore rupees (1.28 million dollars), with the two semi-finalists, Afghanistan and England, each being awarded approximately 6.54 crore rupees (787,500 dollars). With 20 teams participating, every team received a portion of the prize from ICC, including those who did not advance past the Super-8 (second round), each obtaining 382,500 dollars (around 3.17 Crore Rupees).

Teams finishing between the 9th and 12th place each received 247,500 dollars (around 2.05 Crore), while teams ranked 13th to 20th each got 225,000 dollars (about 1.87 Crore Rupees). Additionally, teams were given a bonus of 31,154 dollars (approximately 25.89 Lakh Rupees) for each match victory aside from the semi-finals and finals.
